when did you start makeup?

Well, I started wearing a little foundation and concealer in Feb/March of last year. So I've been wearing makeup for about a year now, but I have been doing conceptual makeup for around 2 months. I've had a lot of people online encourage and help me on my journey. But I wear a full mug on a daily basis; foundation, contour, highlight, eyes, lips, and lashes. Its a fun time.

how do you feel about more boys being seen in the beauty industry?

As being a teenage gayboy I find it to be really inspiring. Its nice to have positive public examples to relate to, and that aren't shamed upon. And you don't have to be gay or anything to wear makeup either. A lot of people just make the assumption that if you wear makeup you're gay. Thats stupid. Its just a way to express yourself, as you would with your clothing and how you decorate your home. Its no different. And it's really opening up doors for so many different people and offering a major outlet for new people to express themselves and be okay with it. It shows that we are progressing somewhat as a society.

how would you describe your makeup style?

I wouldn't necessarily say I have a certain style, I just do whatever inspires me at the moment really. My overall aesthetic though is (or at least what I'm going for) a dirty grungy 90s hooker type of situation. I want to include hyper-masculine/feminine qualities when I do my looks. I like the idea of there just being a blurred line between male and female, because it makes you question what you're seeing. And I enjoy that.

who are your inspirations?

To start off with, and I think this is necessary, Rupaul Charles is a monumental inspiration for me. He opened the door for an entire community of people that were looked down on and gave them the ability to stand up and express themselves. Marilyn Manson  is obviously a inspiration of mine. I love the message that he gives, its empowering. Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Missy Elliot, Eve, Trina and all the other queens that ruled the 90s/00s give me life. Nothing can top that era. And instagram artists like @girlacne, @artsybusy, @sadistic_antichrist, @meltingbody, @tender.buttons, @jpegpapi and @ryon1 to name a few. Instagram provides so many artists to admire and look up to. I love it so much.
